At long last someone will feel Toyota's pain. Ford today announced a recall on 484,600 Ford Escapes over a potentially deadly sticking accelerator defect. The recall will affect all 2001 to 2004 models with 3-liter, V-6 engines, ABC News reports. It comes following a local TV investigation into an Escape crash that killed a 17-year-old Arizona girl. Safety inspectors eventually found that the SUV's speed control cables sometimes caught on its engine cover when the gas pedal was fully depressed. (More Ford stories.)
