(Newser) – The most remarkable part of the video of a former executive belittling a Chick-fil-A employee may have been the reaction of that employee, a 26-year-old named Rachel who kept her cool and even wished Adam Smith a nice day at the end of his rant. Now Rachel gives her first interview to Fox News, and says she'd like to meet with Smith. The exec, who was fired after posting the video of his stunt, followed up with another video apologizing to Rachel—but she says she'd like to see "if he was sincere and let him know why I handled it the way I did and not take legal action, which a lot of people told me I should do."

Why did she handle it that way? She's a Christian, she explains, and "God tells us to love thy neighbor." Apparently such behavior is the norm for Rachel; she says that a friend saw the video and said, "Yep, that’s Rachel and that’s the way she is." Though Rachel says she doesn't want to further "drag [Smith] through the mud," she does want to know "if he could separate the issue from me and the company," she says. "The workers have nothing to do with the political beliefs with people in the corporation. I don’t want to be part of that puzzle."
