(Newser) – James Holmes is as crazy as he looks, his lawyer says. At a hearing yesterday, the lawyer defending the Aurora massacre suspect said he is mentally ill, and urged prosecutors to turn more documents over to the defense, CBS reports. "We cannot begin to assess the depth of Mr. Holmes' mental illness" until receiving more documents, he said. As in other court hearings, Holmes, who is accused of killing 12 people in a shooting rampage, appeared dazed and unengaged in proceedings.

At the same hearing, a lawyer representing 20 media outlets urged the judge to relax his gag order concerning the case, and to allow the public to know more about the proceedings against Holmes. "The public is completely in the dark," the lawyer said. Both the defense and the prosecution argued in favor of keeping court documents sealed. Kiss and Motley Crue played a concert in suburban Denver last night, and announced they were making a $100,000 donation to a fund helping people affected by the massacre, reports AP.

That is a big no shit Sherlock.  He planned a crazy massacre badly dressed as the joker. How many sane people do that? Now just how insane is he should be the question. Enough to lock him up in Arkham asylum forever or can he be tried?

They told you to get angry at him because he is a killer of men, and you got angry. But you did not look into the matter. Because you were angry. Welcome to the world of media-written, cross-societal, braided conversation.
