(Newser) – An aide to Harry Reid made waves when he gave a KTLK radio host details on Wednesday on Reid's source for his claim that Mitt Romney went a decade without paying taxes—but Jose Parra has since backtracked a bit. Parra initially told Mario Solis-Marich, "This person is an investor in Bain Capital, a Republican also, and somebody who has been dealing with Romney's company for a long, long time and he has direct knowledge of this."

After the story broke last night, however, Parra emailed the Huffington Post and retracted the part about Reid's source being a Republican. "I do not know the party affiliation of the source, how long he invested with Bain, or his relationship to Romney beyond the fact that he was an investor with Bain Capital, as Senator Reid has previously stated," Parra wrote. Romney has called on Reid to name the source.

Ried is a sack of crap liar. There is no source. The man, like his buddies Obama and Pelosi have no credibility left. Romni id right to ignore that pathetic, little, slimy weasel.

Mitt release your taxes for the last dozen years. Who would vote for someone who doesn't, except another cheat.

The only possible way Romney could have not owed any taxes at all is if he reported a loss during those years. You can't pay income taxes if you don't have income. Not particularly controversial.
