Chad Johnson Charged With Headbutting Wife

Police say argument caused by receipt for condoms

(Newser) – Miami Dolphin Chad Johnson, previously aka Chad Ochocinco, was arrested last night in an alleged domestic violence, after police say he headbutted his wife during an argument, reports the Sun-Sentinel. The fight broke out after Johnson's new wife, Evelyn Lozada, a star from the reality TV series Basketball Wives, found a receipt for a box of condoms.

"It gets pretty heated," said the local police department captain. "She alleges he leaned over and headbutted her. He says she leaned towards him and that they butted heads. Needless to say she has a good laceration on her forehead." Johnson spent the night in jail, and bail was set at $2,500 this morning; he's expected to post bail and be released within a few hours. Johnson has been considered a model citizen during his 11-year professional career, although he was arrested in college for a domestic dispute. Looks to me like TweedleDumb and TweedleDumber deserve eachother.  Anyone stupid enough to get married deserves all the misery that comes with it.

There is NEVER an excuse for domestic violence. No matter how "hot" the argument, words and not physicality are the answer. Grow up, Johnson. Real men never need to resort to violence. At your age, you should be far past the use of physical violence or intimation to resolve disputes. That is something we are supposed to learn on the elementary school playground. As to her alleged "cutting him off," maybe if he treated her lovingly and respectfully, she would not have to resort to such actions.

i just saw mr johnson on hbos hard knocks being interviewed along with his wife. he said that when he has a bad game she cuts him off and last season he had a bad year so she cut him offf for the whole season. no wonder he was packing a case of rubbers.
