The Broncos added the title of spoiler to their 7-9 record this season, as a 22-19 overtime win let Denver deny Minnesota any chance at a playoff berth, reports the Denver Post. Vikings quarterback Tavaris Jackson lost a fumble to an overtime sack, allowing the turnover that led to Jason Elam's game-winning field goal. In other season-enders:

  • San Diego capitalized on Oakland's mistakes and turnovers to surge to a 30-17 victory (their ninth straight against the Raiders) and clinch the No. 3 seed in the AFC playoffs.
  • The Jets' season just wouldn't end, as overtime, kicker-icing, and penalties all delayed the final result of the 13-10 win over Kansas City.
