(Newser) – Think Lindsay Lohan is the first celebrity to get completely banned from a fancypants hotel? Think again. The Stir rounds up six more:

  • Britney Spears: Like Lohan, she got herself banned from the Chateau Marmont in 2007. In her case, it was because she allegedly smeared food all over her face in a freakout in front of other diners.

  • Nicki Minaj: It was her fans who got her booted from London's Dorchester Hotel, with hundreds mobbing the lobby in search for her. Chaos, involving fights and graffiti, ensued.
  • Russell Crowe: He got angry at a desk clerk at New York City's Mercer Hotel—and threw a phone in his face. Assault charges were brought.
Click for the complete list, including one star who was banned for "creepy" behavior at the spa—and another who did $20,000 worth of damage to a room.

Throwing a phone in someone's face is hardly tantamount to "kicking butt."

Evann Gastaldo - why are you so ridiculous? You constantly put these "lists" with only a few examples then a link to the rest. The purpose of Newser is to read less and know more, no? Maybe it should be changed to "We'll give you half the story and tell you where to go to get the rest, so you can use TWO websites to read ONE story".  You could at least title your pieces properly, THREE Stars banned from hotels with a link to the FOUR I didn't include so you would have to follow a link to some other website.
