You may be worried about Amanda Bynes and Lindsay Lohan, both of whom seem determined to continue on their downward spirals. But, as Radar reminds us, many a formerly troubled star has managed to turn it all around and stage an inspiring comeback. Here are 10:
- Drew Barrymore: As a teen, she struggled with drugs and alcohol—and ended up in rehab before she even got a driver's license. She's now a successful actress and producer.
- Robert Downey Jr.: He used to be known as a total mess of an addict, but now he's known as Iron Man and Sherlock Holmes.
- Rob Lowe: He had a bit of a sex tape scandal in his Brat Pack days—one of the two women in the tape was a teenager—but he's since made a comeback.
- Nicole Richie: Once Paris Hilton's constant companion, she used heroin and struggled with an eating disorder—and was even arrested once for wrong-way driving on the freeway. Now she's back on a successful track—and a mom.
- Angelina Jolie: We all remember her wild child younger days, but she's now a serious humanitarian.
