An Army general who served as deputy commander of the 82nd Airborne Division has been charged with sex crimes and with having inappropriate relationships with female subordinates in Afghanistan, reports CNN. Brig. Gen. Jeffrey Sinclair, who was relieved of his command and returned home to Fort Bragg in May, faces possible courts martial on charges including forcible sodomy and wrongful sexual conduct. He is also accused of possessing alcohol and pornography while deployed in Afghanistan. The general, who has been in the Army for 27 years, is still on active duty but will face the military equivalent of a preliminary hearing at a date yet to be determined. (More US military stories.)
