US on Track for Warmest Year Ever

It's a near certainty, barring a severely frigid final 3 months

(Newser) – With help from the hottest July on record and 16 straight months of above-average temperatures, the US is on track to post its hottest year in history, reports NBCNews.com. In fact, the only way we can miss the mark is if the final three months of the year get seriously cold and add up to one of the top 10 coldest quarters in history. Don't bank on it. A weather.com meteorologist tweeted today that there's only about a 7% chance that the US won't set the hottest-ever mark. Records started being kept in 1895.

It's interesting how the anti-climate science trolls wait till most in the newser community have finished before coming along hours later to leave comments that will display on the story page among the three "most recent". In any case, it's clear that the paid whores of the Koch cabal and their fellow travelers are back with a vengeance on this story.BCS is one of the more sophisticated of these trolls, knowing how ridiculous it sounds to respond with ignorant theories about the sun and statements bashing Al Gore and Big Bird which appeal strictly to the Tea-Publican Foxbots in the audience. Guvner returns again, of course, with his phony statistics and "arguments", absent any links to supporting sources. The "elites" (assuming this refers to Obama administration officials) are doing what they can to promote renewable sources in the current political climate that is driven to a great extent by anti-science propaganda being spewed to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars. http://www.newser.com/story/84734/us-koch-oil-funds-climate-change-deniers-with-73m.html http://www.newser.com/story/130314/koch-industries-hit-piece-revealednot-much.html http://www.newser.com/story/124404/koch-brothers-outed-as-wind-energy-haters.html

If science said black, tea bagger would say white.
