(Newser) – The Seattle Seahawks were clinging to a one-point lead Saturday when the defense decided to give itself a cushion in what turned out to be a 35-14 win over the Washington Redskins in an NFL Wild Card playoff game, the Seattle Times reports. Marcus Trufant returned an interception 78 yards for a touchdown and Jordan Babineaux returned another 57 yards for the Seahawks.

The Redskins took a 14-13 lead with 12:38 to go, but quarterback Matt Hasselbeck hit  D.J. Hackett for a 20-yard touchdown pass and a two-point conversion made it 21-13 Seattle. Twenty-eight seconds later, Trufant took the first errant Todd Collins throw back for a score. The Seahawks move on to play in Green Bay next Saturday.
