(Newser) – A single sentence has been garnering much attention: John Boehner told ABC News yesterday that "ObamaCare is the law of the land," prompting many to wonder whether the Republicans' tone on health-care reform was changing. Not so fast, it looks like. The Boehner camp released a statement soon after, saying, "Speaker Boehner and House Republicans remain committed to repealing the law." And Boehner later tweeted that "our goal remains #fullrepeal." But the Huffington Post notes a "softened" tone in Boehner's rhetoric, and Politico suggests he "seems to have given up" on repeal.

I hope Boehner enjoys his retirement after the next elections.

All doorways to repeal have been slammed shut. Get the fuck over it. You lost.
