Nicole Kidman sure has opened up about her relationship with Tom Cruise in the wake of Cruise's split with Katie Holmes. In the new issue of DuJour, Kidman recalls falling "madly, passionately in love" with Cruise. "I was totally smitten," she said. "I was reeling with Tom. I would have gone to the ends of the earth for him." But when she looks back on the relationship now, she realizes "I was so impulsive and naïve."
While she was happy for most of the marriage, she was also constantly watched thanks to Cruise's big name. As a result, she and Tom put themselves "in a bubble, just the two of us," she says. "We became very dependent on one another." When he filed for divorce just two months after they celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary, telling the press only, "Nic knows why," she begged him to reconsider. "I thought our life together was perfect," she tells DuJour. "It took me a very long time to heal. It was a shock to my system." Click for the full profile.
