National Treasure Stays in Top Spot

(Newser) National Treasure: Book of Secrets glowed in top spot for a third straight weekend as quirky Juno scored a startling third, almost neck-and-neck with mega-hit I Am Legend. Juno banked an estimated $16.2M and expanded to 1,952 theaters in its fifth week, a near-record run for a specialty film.

Alvin and the Chipmunks piped in at fourth, nearing a possible $200 million domestic run, as PG-13 horror flick One Missed Call dialed up fifth with $13.5 million. Charlie Wilson's War outfought P.S. I Love You for sixth as The Water Horse, Sweeney Todd, and Atonement rounded out the top 10.
