(Newser) – Advocates of a practice to "cure" gay teens of their homosexuality through therapy won a court fight in California yesterday. A federal appeals court ruled that such "gay conversion" therapies can continue until the constitutionality of a state law blocking the practice is decided, reports the San Francisco Chronicle. The law was supposed to go into effect on Jan. 1, but written briefs won't even be filed until mid-February.

The legislation prohibits counselors and therapists from using what advocates call reparative therapy on anyone under 18, but a group called Liberty Counsel has sued to keep it from taking effect on free-speech grounds. A constitutional law expert cautions against reading too much into yesterday's decision. "This doesn't determine the ultimate outcome by the 9th Circuit," he tells the Los Angeles Times. "It still has to rule on the merits, and it could well go to the Supreme Court. But obviously this is a preliminary loss for supporters of the law."

If someone I loved were a pedophile, necrophiliac or homosexual, I would take any available action to help them overcome their unnatural attractions.

Not every person who has same-sex attraction wants to to be saddled with it. I would love to see posts here from persons who have gone thru Conversion Therapy and give it a thumbs-up. Those I know who most loudly condemn Conversion Therapy privately talk of wanting as much fresh meat available as possible.

Jesse Jackson's Gay Staffer Not Backing Down On Sexual Harassment Charges The complaint states: "When Mr. Bennett arrived, Rev. Jackson was dressed only in his underwear (briefs) and a V-neck shirt. While Mr. Bennett was taking notes, Rev. Jackson had an erection and was stroking his penis with his hand in his underwear. Rev. Jackson's breathing was accelerated. Before Mr. Bennett left, Rev. Jackson stated that white folks took the word 'gay' and gave the word its own definition. Rev. Jackson further stated that he was a real poor child in North Carolina and his name was first Jesse Burns, and then Jesse Robinson and then he became Jesse Jackson. Rev. Jackson stated that he played football and there was a gay high school teacher who took Rev. Jackson under his wings and told him that he needed education to go along with football. Rev. Jackson said 'from that gay teacher, I got a good grade, I got to use his car, I got ten dollars and I got my dick sucked.' Rev. Jackson said, 'that's not gay, that is surviving.' Mr. Bennett understood this to mean that Rev. Jackson wanted him to perform oral sex on him. Mr. Bennett left the room.
