(Newser) – A ferry came crashing into its dock in Manhattan's financial district at rush hour this morning, sending passengers flying and crashing into one another and ripping open one corner of the ship "like a tin can," the AP reports. Officials say more than 70 people were injured. Several passengers were seen being carried out on stretchers, and at least two were in critical condition, the New Jersey Star Ledger reports; one suffered a severe head wound, the NYPD tells the New York Post. There were reportedly 326 people aboard the ferry.
