(Newser) – San Diego police shot and injured a 20-year-old domestic violence suspect yesterday in a movie theater, reports the Union Tribune. Tom Billodeaux is expected to recover from wounds to his arm and chest, and will face charges. Billodeaux had earlier left a suicide note, and confronted an ex-girlfriend with a handgun before fleeing across the street to the mall that houses the movie theater. Police responding to a 911 call found the suspect there. He at first appeared to surrender, says a police spokesman, then raised the handgun in his hand. Police felt they were in jeopardy, says the spokesman, “and more importantly, they thought the lives of others were in jeopardy,” and fired.

“We saw four cops with assault rifles go by us, toward the theater,” says a witness. “Moments later, a lady came in here and said she had heard a gunshot.”

Too bad the police were such BAD SHOTS they could have saved the state of Cal-e-forna the cost of his medical care, the cost of the trial, paying for his attorney, his incarceration and any possible repeat violations (which could include innocents being injured) !!!

Wow, that's some stellar writing, Polly Davis Doig! "...and will be face charges." "He at first appeared to surrender, then raised the handgun in his hand." (as opposed to raising the gun with his foot). Next stop: Pulitzer Prize!... : )

The anti-gun libs that preach endlessly about taking guns away from citizens are steadfast about their position on the matter, all up until the moment they get their ass saved from being raped or killed, by a man with a gun.
