The Phoenix Coyotes were trailing 1-0 with less than 5 minutes to go in the second period when Peter Mueller got one past Vancouver goalie Curtis Sandford. Then two Canucks penalties within 6 seconds led to two Coyotes goals within 10, and Phoenix was well on its way to a 4-3 win, reports the Arizona Republic.

Wayne Gretzky's team broke Vancouver's 14-game home winning streak and improved to 2-1 on its current road trip. Former Canuck Ed Jovanovski scored the go-ahead goal for Phoenix during the 5-3 power play. Taylor Pyatt had Vancouver's first and last goals, with Ryan Kesler picking up the team's second score.
