(Newser) – FarmVille might be ready for its overalls-clad close-up. Director Brett Ratner, of Rush Hour and Prison Break fame, has signed on to produce a half-hour animated show based on Zynga's popular game, the Wall Street Journal reports. The series will be produced with Canadian production company Six Eleven Media. There's no word yet on what network it might air on.

Since it will be crapola, it will end up on Fox. Really wish they'd place it at some obscure cable outlet, so we wouldn't have to worry about accidentally coming across it.
