(Newser) – Vancouver's Sedin twins combined for three goals in regulation against St. Louis, and the rest was all Alex Edler; the rookie had his second shootout game-winner in four games to keep Vancouver at the top of the NHL's Northwest division. Taylor Pyatt had two assists before a first-period puck to the face caused him to leave the game. Elsewhere in the NHL:

  • Minnesota took its seventh straight game against Phoenix in a 4-1 romp at home.
  • Colorado's 4-3 shootout win gave them 11 wins in their last 14 games against Florida.
