(Newser) – Britain's Queen Elizabeth has landed in the hospital in London today after suffering the effects of gastroenteritis—better known as a stomach bug, reports Sky News. The 86-year-old monarch is said to be in "good spirits," though she is expected to stay in the hospital for two days. That forces the cancellation of a two-day trip to Rome set for Wednesday. Elizabeth rarely cancels engagements due to health; the last was in October due to a bad back.

I think it's time Queen Elizabeth retired, so Prince Charles can finally get on with it.

I like Canada but I never got the queenie thing. Aside from being an expensive anachronism, it really destroys some of their lives. Had the monarchy not existed, Camilla would have divorced her husband & married Charles in the first place & Diana would have married someone her own age who would have loved her & be alive today, most likely.
