(Newser) – Take Florida, add in Walmart, and you have a recipe for a bizarre crime story: This time around, a woman was arrested after pulling a gun on Walmart employees ... because they wouldn't take her coupon. The kicker: The coupon was only for $1 off. Mary Frances Alday reportedly got upset and started "verbally abusing" the assistant manager while being escorted out of the store Friday; she also hit the employee with a shopping cart, according to her arrest report. Then she allegedly went to her car and retrieved a handgun, which she promptly started waving at four employees outside.

She got back in her car and left the scene, but was soon stopped by authorities. Asked if she had a gun, Alday replied, "Yes, I have a concealed weapons permit, and you are not taking my gun," USA Today reports. Oh, but they did: When Alday refused to get out of her SUV and started reaching for something, she got Tasered twice and eventually pulled from the vehicle, handcuffed, arrested, and hit with quite a few charges. She's currently in jail. For more Florida + Walmart fun, click here and here.

Walmart should be renamed DramaMart. People seem to go there just to show out and be seen. I shop there and I'm always looking over my shoulder!!!!!

The problem is the fantasy of no guns is not attainable, do you honestly think if guns were outlawed that would be the end of guns?  This is the same thinking that brought about prohibition. Outlaw it and problem solved.  Guess what, didn't work. It took a few years to sink in that in a country with as much freedom as the U.S. if someone wants something they will get it legally or not.  Then as a person with something of value there is usually someone around to take it , by force.  I don't want to rely on martial arts or boxing to defend myself or my family from someone that is armed, and they will be, as I said if someone wants a gun legal or not they will get it.  To an extent the same is true with someone mentally ill, you can't stop them if they want a gun badly enough. I would support anything reasonable that could achieve safety for everyone, but I don't think it exists
