(Newser) – A man cleared of murder charges after 23 years in prison rejoined his family, ate a steak dinner, and had a heart attack, the Daily News reports. David Ranta, 58, is in stable condition in a New York hospital after doctors began procedures to clear up his arteries. Ranta was released Thursday, once a review of his case strongly suggested police had framed him in the high-profile murder of a rabbi. "The toll that his years in prison have taken on David is great," his lawyer told the New York Times.

If this guy didn't have bad luck he wouldn't have any luck at all! What next a cancer diagnosis?

The police would never frame an innocent person. It never happens. If you believe that - I have some prime real estate on Mars to sell to you!

Im guessing the guy took one look at what Emperor Bloomberg has done to NYC during his reign and his heart couldnt stand the shock. What used to be delis and Mom and Pop stores are now soulless corporate chains. Or maybe he found out he could no longer smoke, eat salty food or drink a large cup of soda. Well, at least the NYPD didnt ticket him for disorderly conduct for having a heart attack without a permit.
