(Newser) – Plenty of Senate Democrats have announced their support of gay marriage in recent weeks, but so far only Rob Portman has done so on the Republican side. That might soon change: Alaska's Lisa Murkowski tells the Chugiak-Eagle River Star that her view is "evolving." Murkowski has voted in the past to define marriage as a union of man and woman, notes Politico, but like many of the other politicians having second thoughts, she cites the influence of her kids:

  • "I've got two young sons who, when I ask them and their friends how they feel about gay marriage, kinda give me one of those looks like, 'Gosh mom, why are you even asking that question?'"
She says she's still not ready to declare a flip in position, however. "It may be that Alaska will come to revisit its position on gay marriage, and as a policy maker I am certainly revieiwing that very closely."

Nice to see the GOP "evolving" into modern day humans.

Look at the intolerance of the LGBT pushers - bad pic means homophobic?! WHAT? Trolls-r-us. So, this senator is unsure of herself enough to ask her sons what they think??? Her indecision is testing the political waters and public reaction. People afraid to stand against the intolerant, Christian-phobic, tradition-devaluing, Bible-scoffing, conservative hating, gender-bending, LGBT normalizing voices ARE homophobic. "Homophobia" is fear of what the gay-lobbyists will do to you!It will never be biologically normal - butts are made for stuff to exit only. And someone needs to explain how "good and natural" homosexuality helps species evolution, helping us adapt to survive!(HATE, for those who will jump on my post, is intense, passionate dislike, often with a desire to inflict harm. Who is "hating" on whom in these debates? Watch for anti-judaeo-christian, anti-conservative, anti-Bible, anti-tradition, anti-gender-roles hate speech. BUT, they are afraid to attack Islamic conservatives.)Alcoholics also have claimed being "born that way". Finally, we are allowed to publicly say alcohol is addicting and bad for you. (not that we listen). I'm irate that LBGT politicos are pushing into RELIGIOUS territory by trying to leverage gay marriage. FINE, get a civil union. Let the State be like God for you. Let me have my faith, my dignity, and my God without you trying to change me. You resent me trying to change YOU.Religion is ordained by... Obama? Chick-fil-a? Captain Barbossa of Pirates of the Carribbean? Noooo.By God.You cannot mix Church and State like this. It is an outrage. And violates our Constitution. You need not believe in God to see that. But then, Liberals seem okay with outrage - look at he violations they have legislated (including cameras everywhere), and are trying to brainwash us into, like gun control and mandatory vaccinations.
