(Newser) – If you're looking for a way to acknowledge the passing of Roger Ebert, you might consider a movie marathon from his list of the 10 greatest films of all time. Ebert's last version came in April of 2012 when he participated in Sight & Sound magazine's once-every-10-year list. And the winners (he listed them alphabetically) are:

  • Aguirre, Wrath of God (Werner Herzog)
  • Apocalypse Now (Francis Ford Coppola)
  • Citizen Kane (Orson Welles)
  • La Dolce Vita (Federico Fellini)
  • The General (Buster Keaton)
  • Raging Bull (Martin Scorsese)
  • 2001: A Space Odyssey (Stanley Kubrick)
  • Tokyo Story (Yasujiro Ozu)
  • The Tree of Life (Terrence Malick)
  • Vertigo (Alfred Hitchcock)

Anyone have a list of the movies that they hate? I hated every movie Robert Altman directed.

Free speech allows all of us to express our opinions of art & film. If you want a good laugh, check the IMDB criticisms of movies. Pick a movie you hate and read what others who hate it wrote. Fave movies; 1) The Day After, 2) Alien, 3) The Game, 4) Elizabeth, 5) Sense and Sensibility (Kate Winslet), 6) Pride and Prejudice (Kiera Knightly), 7) Bourne Identity, 8) Dead Calm, 9) Get the Gringo & 10) The Jackal. Runners up; The Matrix, Michael Clayton, All the President's Men, Titanic, Cowboys & Aliens, Apollo 13, Benjamin Button, The Day the Earth Stood Still (Michael Rennie), The Godfather, Jaws, The Gauntlet and United 93.
