(Newser) – The Dallas Stars won for the sixth straight time in San Jose Thursday to tie the Sharks atop the Pacific Division, reports the Associated Press. Mike Modano scored two goals in the 4-2 win, which sent San Jose to its third straight loss. Marty Turco made 28 saves for Dallas, which has won just three times in 10 games. In other NHL action:

  • Rick Nash scored two goals, including one with 21.5 seconds left, to give the Columbus Blue Jackets a 4-3 win over the Phoenix Coyotes.
  • The Anaheim Ducks extended their winning streak to five games behind goals from Brandon Bochenski and Corey Perry in a 2-1 win over the Nashville Predators.
