(Newser) – Ron Artest returned to boos in Detroit, and responded by blowing kisses to the fans and hitting a critical three-pointer with under four minutes left to put Sacramento ahead to stay in a 100-93 victory. Artest, who came off the bench, ended with 18 points at the site of a 2004 brawl that landed him a 73-game suspension, reports the AP.

Chauncey Billups scored 28 points and Richard Hamilton 24 for the Pistons, who had two shots at tying the game in the last minute but couldn't pull it off. Kevin Martin had 21 and Brad Miller 17 in sweeping Detroit in the season series. The Pistons didn't help themselves with poor shooting early and hitting only 19-30 from the line.
