(Newser) – The Daily Show returned last night, and interim host John Oliver had a bone to pick with Florida in the wake of the George Zimmerman verdict. The problem, he said: "The system worked exactly as it's designed. How does 2013 Florida have a law that seems cut and pasted from 1881 Tombstone?"

In Florida, Oliver noted, "you can get a gun, follow an unarmed minor," have police "explicitly tell you to stop following them," then "keep following the minor, get into a confrontation with them, and if at any point during that process, you get scared, you can shoot the minor to death." Oliver's conclusion: "I think it might honestly be time for the Sunshine State to officially change its motto"—to "the Worst State." (In other Zimmerman news, Juror B37 speaks out.)

Jon Stewart and his un-funny show the type of trash that gives TV a bad name. Who cares what these jerks think of any state. Martin's death has probably saved the lives of several innocent people he would have victimized if the thug had lived to get older. Good Riddance ghetto trash!

Trayvon was in the act of committing a hate crime on George Zimmerman. He was handing out some "whoop ass" because he thought Zimmerman was a rapist (i.e. a gay man). Why is the left still defending Trayvon?
