(Newser) – The hunt for a missing cell phone turned tragic this week when a man was crushed to death in what police are calling "a terrible accident." Roger Mirro, 56, was searching for a misplaced phone at his apartment in a Chicago suburb when he told his neighbor he thought it may have dropped down the garbage chute and asked for a key to the garbage room, the Chicago Tribune reports.

When Mirro's wife reported him missing after she got home four hours later—she had called to tell him she was going out with friends about half an hour before he visited the neighbor—police retraced the man's steps to find a ladder leaning beside the trash compactor and his mangled body inside, police say. The medical examiner's office has also ruled the death an accident.

People are idiots, and they will always be idiots. When you respond to these idiots this is what they like. Dont feed them, let them starve and they will move onto the next story to be idiots. With that being said, I knew Roger when he worked at Mooseheart Child City and School and he was a awesome person who loved working with the kids there. Not one person could say anything bad about him. May you RIP Roger and I hope your family and friends can find peace with your tragic and much to soon death.
