Cops in San Diego County think a man suspected of murdering a woman and child is on the run with two more children, reports CBS Los Angeles. Authorities are looking for James Lee DiMaggio, 40, and think he abducted Hannah Anderson, 16, and her 8-year-old brother, Ethan. The hunt began after police discovered the remains of Christina Anderson, 44, and a still-unidentified child in DiMaggio's burning home Sunday night.

They think DiMaggio killed them, set fire to the house, and fled with the other two kids, who were last seen Saturday. (The San Diego Union-Tribune raises the possibility that the second body could belong to one of the children.) No motive is known, and police say DiMaggio and Anderson weren't a couple but were close platonic friends. A statewide Amber Alert is in effect. (More Amber Alert stories.)
