And We Wonder: Where's Tom?

(Newser) – Send out the search party. Tom Brady wasn't at practice or in the locker room for the second straight day during the media's allotted time, fueling speculation about the severity of an apparent ankle injury suffered earlier in the playoffs. And as usual, New England coach Bill Belichick offered no insight into his star quarterback's absence during a press conference.

Belichick left the podium without answering that question, bailed out by his media relations VP—who cut off inquiries. Brady was pictured Monday wearing a protective boot on his right foot but has not been seen with it since and is not expected to miss the Super Bowl. The Patriots backup signal callers were the only ones throwing passes today.
