When the final season of Breaking Bad wraps up, it won't be completely gone: AMC has signed on for a spinoff featuring the character of Saul Goodman, the lawyer played by Bob Odenkirk, reports the Hollywood Reporter. But it looks like we'll be going back in time. Expect "a one-hour prequel that will focus on the evolution of the popular Saul Goodman character before he ever became Walter White's lawyer," says the network and Sony. The working title for the series is Better Call Saul. USA Today says it probably won't air until the second half of 2014. Bad creator Vince Gilligan will be involved, but series writer Peter Gould will run the show. (More Breaking Bad stories.)
