Purdue Upsets No. 11 Wisconsin

Posted Jan 26, 08 8:34 PM CST in Sports

(Newser) – Robbie Hummel had 10 points, seven rebounds and five assists for Purdue, but his day wasn't done until the final seconds. Hummel blocked a driving layup by Michael Flowers to preserve a 60-56 Big Ten upset of No. 11 Wisconsin, reports the Associated Press. The Boilermakers, who have won five straight, snapped the Badgers 10-game win streak.

E'Twaun Moore led the way for Purdue (15-5, 6-1) with 16 points as the Boilermakers moved into a tie for second place in early conference play. The Boilermakers' last win over a ranked team was Dec. 15 against Louisville. Brian Butch had 20 points and 13 rebounds for the Badgers (16-3, 6-1), while Trevon Hughes added 11 points.
