Andrei Kirilenko scored 23 points on 9-10 shooting and Utah never trailed in a 97-91 victory over San Antonio. The intensity was high in this rematch of last season's Western Conference finals, with several technical fouls given out as well as lots of bumps and bruises for the Spurs, who saw a much more physical Utah team this time.

Tim Duncan had drawn San Antonio within two with 90 seconds remaining, but a Spurs technical foul and Kyle Korver's three-pointer with 48 seconds left sealed the deal. Manu Ginobili led the defending champions with 29 points while Duncan had 26 and 11 rebounds. Utah guard Deron Williams had 14 assists and shut down San Antonio's Tony Parker. (More NBA stories.)
