Plane Crash? C'mon. It Was Fun: Survivor

Posted Feb 8, 08 1:30 PM CST in World

(Newser) – The British Airways flight that crash-landed at Heathrow last month certainly looked terrifying, but one passenger recalls the ordeal as "a fantastic experience" that has made her "the center of attention at dinner parties." Passengers had no indication the plane was in danger, Francis Charig writes in the Telegraph; the landing was "a little heavy" but "insufficient to stop me working on my Sudoku puzzle."

Charig takes issue with fellow passengers who are considering a suit against the airline despite the safe landing. He's happy BA offered the survivors fear of flying classes, but he's jetting off to Barcelona and San Francisco in the coming days. His one regret was only getting to go down the emergency slide once: "I doubt if you've had to go down a chute before but it was damn fun."
