More than two decades later, we'll finally find out whether Robin Williams' character kept on dressing up as Euphegenia Doubtfire even after reuniting with his family. So will original director Chris Columbus; the sequel will be written by David Berenbaum, who also penned Elf and other family-friendly fare. But the Reporter notes that "it's too soon to predict if all the elements will ultimately come together," though things are looking good; a sequel has been in the works since 2001, but the project hadn't been active for a while.
