(Newser) – Mississippi isn't just the most religious state in the country, it's also the most corrupt, according to a new study. The study, which compiled more than 25,000 corruption convictions of public officials between 1976 and 2008, also revealed that corruption in the country's 10 worst states, listed below, costs residents $1,308 per year on average, Fortune reports. That list shows why I trust the IRS when they investigate conservative groups as opposed to the conservatives who are on a witch hunt against the IRS. It is obvious that the conservatives have something to hide and they want no one to know about what they are doing!

BobbyRiciglian, your post itself is racist. It is ludicrous to claim that corruption is due to support of slavery and inbreeding when Illinois and Pennsylvania are near the top of the list. Inbreeding? Really? I'll bet you think there are no paved road in the South. FYI, most corruption in the South is happening because of state representatives & other officials taking bribes from construction and gambling interests. Re. Scruchy, Healthsouth, Siegelman, Victoryland, McGregor... Google those.
