No.2 Duke won its 12th straight last night with a 77-55 ACC win over Maryland, reports the Associated Press. Freshman Kyle Singler led the way with 26 points and Greg Paulus added 20 for Duke (22-1, 10-0). The Blue Devils almost blew a 16-point lead before an 11-2 run ended the Terrapins' four-game winning streak. In other Top 25 action:

  • Pat Knight got his first win since taking over for his legendary father as Texas Tech upset No. 18 Kansas State 84-75 in a Big 12 game. Alan Voskuil led the Red Raiders with a career-high 30 points.
  • Josh Duncan capped a 30-point night with a 3-pointer with 15 seconds left to lift No. 12 Xavier past Charlotte in an Atlantic 10 game.
