(Newser) – A probable cause hearing yesterday revealed Justin Ross Harris exchanged sexually explicit messages and nude photos with six women—including one 17-year-old—as his 22-month-old son baked to death in a hot car, and the fresh details don't end there. This morning saw the release of a new batch of search warrants that were issued roughly a week after Cooper's June 18 death, and WXIA and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution outline the new allegations, per Cobb police:

  • Surveillance video from the parking lot where Harris works captured him arriving that morning. According to detectives who reviewed the video, "Harris passes a parking space, backs the vehicle up several feet and then pulls into a parking space near the back of the lot."
  • The warrants show that police inspected the lights and light-bulb storage at the family's condo "to determine if there was a need to purchase light bulbs the afternoon of the incident." A detective yesterday testified that Harris bought bulbs during his lunch break and put them in the car before returning to work.
  • Harris was thoroughly familiar with Cooper's car seat. He "knew the specific make and model of the seat and what the weight limit was for the child to be seated in it. When the seat was inspected, the straps for the seat were set on the lowest level for a small child."
  • In yesterday's hearing, detectives said Harris and his wife had two life insurance policies, totaling $27,000, on Cooper. While in jail, Harris explained to family members how to collect on the policies.

I guess all those folks that said it was an accident....what? still an accident??? i knew this joker killed his kid when i first heard this story. wish folks would stop having kids because they think it's what they're supposed to do and not what they want to do. kids ages 0-5 are in the most danger of death/injury from their parents/caregivers; whether intentional or not. smh. just glad the state of ga is brave enough to seek justice for cooper and not worry how they will be perceived. his mom needs to be in the cell with his dad based on the available evidence about her connection to this case.
