Game of Thrones Grabs 19 Emmy Noms
HBO series leads the pack

(Newser) – This year, the Emmys expanded the maximum number of best drama and comedy series nominees to seven, the Los Angeles Times reports—ultimately, just six were nominated in each category, but Netflix managed to snag a nod in each. But the biggest winner in the nominations game was Game of Thrones, which has a leading 19 nods, the AP reports. Best comedy nominees:

  • The Big Bang Theory
  • Louie
  • Modern Family
  • Orange Is the New Black
  • Silicon Valley
  • Veep

The best drama nominees:

  • Breaking Bad
  • Downton Abbey
  • Game of Thrones
  • House of Cards
  • Mad Men
  • True Detective

I hope Peter Dinklage wins in his category. Also, I'm glad to see so many nominations for Orange is the New Black!

Am disappointed that VIKINGS isn't on the list. Hot Vikings, gritty story lines, great art direction.
