Mark Ruffalo has a new hero: a stranger by the name of Ross McHale. Ruffalo apparently lost his wallet in Chicago last week while in town to serve as a grand marshal at a race at Chicagoland Speedway, Us reports, and McHale just happened to find it. Though he didn't recognize the actor's name on the ID inside, he Googled it and stumbled across Ruffalo's Twitter account, TMZ reports. "I have your wallet. Found it in a cab in Chicago on Friday. Let me know the best way to get it back to you. Thanks," McHale tweeted at the Avengers star on Sunday.

Ruffalo replied, "thank you! Wow! Another point for the decency in people," and asked McHale to send him a private message. "You are a hero!" Ruffalo added. McHale tells TMZ, "If [Mark] ever finds my wallet I expect him to return the favor." And though TMZ reported Ruffalo didn't offer a reward, McHale later tweeted that claim was "false and misleading. He couldn't have been more gracious." (More Mark Ruffalo stories.)
