Maryland police say a North Carolina man left a vulnerable person sitting in his truck in a casino parking garage for nearly five hours—his 98-year-old mother. Anne Arundel County Police say 67-year-old Dwight McGinnis Jr. of Raleigh was charged with vulnerable adult neglect. Police say the woman, who uses a wheelchair, was alone with no food or water. The truck had arrived at the Maryland Live! Casino garage about 1:45pm on an 81-degree day. Paramedics gave the woman water and found that she was not in medical distress. Police contacted the woman's son by cellphone about 7:15pm, and he went to the vehicle. (More neglect stories.)
