(Newser) – Donald Sterling's girlfriend? Nah, says V. Stiviano: She never slept with the former Los Angeles Clippers owner, because he's gay and she was his beard, TMZ reports. Stiviano makes the claim in a new lawsuit filed in a battle over who owns the property and cars Sterling gave her. Stiviano says they were compensation for being his "beard": She wasn't "ever a sexual partner of Donald T. Sterling," per the suit, and Stiviano "believes that [Sterling] is a homosexual and enjoys sexual acts and or sexual congress with males."

Sterling's wife Shelly was "acutely aware of [Donald's] sexual orientation and condoned same as well as acknowledged and approved [his] gifts of money" to Stiviano, the suit adds. Stiviano further argues that the gifts were Donald's private property, not community property; Shelly has argued that her husband didn't have the right to give Stiviano the gifts. Icing on the cake: Stiviano is accusing Donald and Shelly of defaming her in the media spotlight as a supposed thief and embezzler, and demanding no less than $10 million.

She's probably out of the "beard" job now and can quit using after-shave cologne. HOWEVER, I said this initially and I cannot shake it off. V. Stiviano has yet another relationship in this scenario. If I am not mistaken, she attended the same high school that Donald attended some time ago. They have those very same high, prominent, American Indian cheekbones... despite Donald's claim that he is Jewish. This is a really strange one, but I will not forgive the NBA for its Putinistic behavior which did a 'hit-and-run' on Donald's civil liberties and civil rights -- bigot or not. And, along comes the NFL blackballing Janet Jackson from performing at any future superbowl games because her outfit for the night broke down on her. Who are the NFL? Monks? I do not even think monks would be as inflexible. Big sportster statements... NB and NF.

What a lovely young woman. Believable, hard-working, misunderstood. She will be vindicated. She will get to keep the house and the Bentley and the Ferrari and the money and the other gifts that Mr. Sterling gave her for being such an excellent archivist. Good archivists these days are difficult to find. She is a sympathetic character. She was practically forced to release those tapes by Mrs. Sterling. Also, the best job in this whole saga is to be a lawyer racking up billing hours.
