(Newser) – Eric Holder, the first black attorney general and one of the few remaining original members of President Obama's cabinet, will announce his resignation later today, sources tell NPR. Holder is described as being more and more "adamant" that he will leave, and sources say that could happen as soon as his successor is confirmed. But this isn't exactly two weeks' notice: NPR notes that the confirmation process could easily run into 2015. Holder is currently the nation's fourth-longest serving AG.
