(Newser) – For No. 21 Notre Dame, home is especially sweet. The Fighting Irish overcame an 11-point second-half deficit tonight and went on to beat struggling Pittsburgh 82-70 in a Big East matchup, reports the Associated Press. Luke Harangody lead the way with 23 points and 12 rebounds as the Irish won their 16th straight conference home game.

Tory Jackson also had 16 points and 13 rebounds, as the Irish (20-5, 10-3) fought back from a 51-40 score with 14 minutes left. Pittsburgh (19-7, 7-6) was shut out over the final 6:30 in losing its second straight game for the first time since Dec. 2006. Sam Young led the Panthers with 20 points.
