Jamison lifts Wizards by Bobcats, Jefferson's 36 boosts Nets to win

(Newser) – The Philadelphia 76ers scored the final 10 points of overtime to send the Miami Heat to their 11th straight loss, 101-96 last night, reports the Associated Press. Andre Iguodala and Andre Miller both scored 24 points for the 76ers. Dwayne Wade scored 33 points for Miami, which has dropped 26 of 27. In other NBA action:

Antawn Jamison scored 22 points as the Washington Wizards won just their second game in their last 12 with a 110-95 win over the Charlotte Bobcats.
Richard Jefferson scored 36 points and Vince Carter had 24 as the New Jersey Nets moved to 2-1 in the post-Jason Kidd era with a 102-91 win over the Indiana Pacers.

The Magic had a chance to catch the Hawks late when Bibby missed a shot with the Hawks up 93-90. Atlanta fought for the offensive rebound, however, and Bibby made a free throw to seal the win. (NEWSER) - Hedo Turkoglu scored a career-high 39 points but it wasn’t enough as the Orlando Magic fell to the Washington Wizards 87-86. Orlando coach Stan Van Gundy was not pleased with his team’s play. “Other than [Turkoglu] and [Keith Bogans], it was a miserable, miserable miserable offensive night,” he said. (NEWSER) - In a battle of shorthanded teams, Indiana used a 12-1 third-quarter run to pull away from the Jason Kidd-less Nets in a 113-103 win. Mike Dunleavy led the Pacers, who were missing starters Jermaine O'Neal and Jamaal Tinsley, with 34 points, while Jeff Foster was a force inside with 10 points and 14 rebounds.
