A man believed to have killed four people in three separate shootings in West Virginia today is dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Jody Lee Hunt, 39, was found in his truck after an hours-long manhunt. The victims appear to have been deliberately targeted. One has been identified as Sharon Kay Berkshire, 39, who filed a domestic violence case against Hunt last month in Monongalia County. Hunt's relationship with the other victims is not yet clear.

The Charleston Gazette notes that Hunt had recently written an ominous Facebook post in which he said, "My actions were wrong but in my eyes just.” He also blamed the “love of my life” for “the devastation I caused to a few people[’s] lives” and hinted at suicide. On Berkshire's page last week, he wrote, "Missing you!" (More West Virginia stories.)
