It's not like there's a how-to manual on how to go about finding a student with a penchant for pooping on the gym floor, but if there were, it would probably not include this: Line up the kids and order them to lower their pants for an underwear inspection. Alas, that's what happened at an elementary school in tiny Gustine, Texas, reports WFAA. School officials rounded up two dozen male and female suspects, though they were considerate enough to put the boys and girls in different rooms.

"I felt like they violated my privacy," an 11-year-old girl tells the TV station, and her mother is even more livid. The district superintendent is on the case and promises a full investigation. The Beaumont Enterprise notes that a similar case in Pineland, Texas, in 2013 resulted in a federal lawsuit by a parent and an undisclosed settlement. It also sounds very serious, although the newspaper can't resist calling the still-at-large Gustine student a "poop-etrator." (More privacy stories.)
