A 59-year-old man has been arrested in a particularly grisly murder: a suitcase full of body parts was found on a San Francisco sidewalk earlier this week. The arrest followed a call on a tip line, CNN reports. Police arrested Andrus at a city apartment building. He's something of a loner, his sister-in-law tells the San Francisco Chronicle. "We haven’t heard from him in, ohmigosh, years and years and years," she notes. "My husband at one point tried to reach out and find him, but I’m guessing it’s been 20 years now since we last saw him."

He has had some trouble with the law before, she says; that includes five outstanding traffic warrants, the paper notes. In addition, he has faced arrests for alleged drug possession and burglary, among other crimes, the Chronicle finds. Surveillance video revealed a man in a baseball cap near where the suitcase was found. Details about the victim remain unclear, though police have said the remains belonged to a "light-skinned male."
