"Blurred Lines" was a huge hit, and now we know exactly how huge. Marvin Gaye's family is suing for part of the money the Robin Thicke song brought in, alleging copyright infringement of Gaye's "Got to Give It Up," and the trial entered its second week this week. Song profits are typically closely guarded secrets, but the trial has revealed that "Blurred Lines" made $16,675,690, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Of that, Thicke got $5,658,214 and collaborators Pharrell Williams and T.I. got $5,153,457 and $704,774, respectively. The rest went to record companies.
